Coming Together

If you have not heard, Complete Estate & Probate Law recently welcomed Reaves Law Firm to our firm! Craig Reaves and his staff made the move for their New Year’s celebration. Therefore, we all started off our year basically combining two households into one. If you’ve ever moved in with another individual then you know this results in plenty of duplicate items and compromise. This meant a lot of organizing and sorting through office supplies along with about 100 computer cords! New desks were quickly set up and we all began to learn each other’s idiosyncrasies (and who the loud ones are). Amidst training and learning new clients, we all tried to avoid feeling overwhelmed. It was very important to all of us that we take some time and get to know one another even as we unpacked and settled in.

One Friday afternoon, we dropped what we were doing and followed the official Fun Director, Maureen, down to Pinstripes. If you have not been to Pinstripes, they offer food, drinks and the option to play bocce ball, pool or bowling. Maureen quickly settled us at tables (we may have noisily combined into one mega table) with appetizers and our beverage of choice for a few minutes while the bossier ones read the rules (Polly calls those Leadership Skills) to teach the game. Bocce ball involves two teams of two people battling it out and we had just enough people to have three games going at once. The goal of the game is to get your ball as close as possible to the pallino to earn points. Teams are allowed to use the side boards or their opponents balls in an effort to get as close to the pallino as possible. First team to seven wins.

As we relaxed and let go of the stress of move-in week, the chatter dissolved into lighthearted competition and laughter. The points for the game can literally come down to inches and Pinstripes helpfully provided a tape measure. No one will be surprised to learn that we utilized the tape measure to it’s fullest. There was no eye-balling it for Complete Estate. Competitive natures aside, we all enjoyed having a moment to bond as a team before diving in to another busy week.

A very brief introduction of the full CEPL team can be found below for those who are new to InComplete Thoughts. If you would like a full bio then check out the About section of our website.
